Welcome to the official web site of the Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor (TSRP) for the State of Idaho. This site contains a wide variety of training resources and publications that can help you successfully prosecute cases involving impaired driving. New information will be added to this web site every month, so you may want to check this site on a regular basis.

The organizations listed below are key partners in a state- and nation-wide effort to eliminate impaired driving. My position as a TSRP was created by the Idaho Prosecuting Attorneys Association (IPAA) through a grant funded by the Idaho Transportation Department.  Furthermore, my office is located at Idaho POST Academy allowing me the unique opportunity to work in close collaboration with law enforcement partners throughout the state. In addition, I receive much support at the federal level from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). I encourage you to visit the web sites of these organizations and become familiar with their contents.

Finally, I hope you will sign up to receive the quarterly newsletter, "For the Road." This newsletter will be emailed to you every January, April, July, and October. You may use this newsletter for your own internal training events, and I encourage you to share it with anyone who may be interested. To sign up for the newsletter, just send me an email and write "Newsletter" in the Subject line of the email.

I am here to address the needs of Idaho’s prosecutors, law enforcement officers and other community stakeholders in the traffic safety arena.  We all have a common goal: to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities on Idaho’s roads.  By working as a team, we can make great strides toward this goal.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with your questions or concerns. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Jared Olson
